AirPlate is a Danish drone detection system that uses ground-based scanners to track aircraft and pilot locations via Remote ID, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals. It is a key component of Denmark’s U-Space initiatives, designed to enhance airspace security and safely integrate unmanned traffic into environments like airports and critical infrastructure.

These interchangeable payloads utilize high-sensitivity VOx bolometer sensors that provide clear thermal resolutions of up to 640×512 pixels, allowing heat signatures to be identified even at significant tactical distances. By opting for this dual-sensor architecture, operators gain the ability to toggle between a 10x/20x digital zoom daylight camera and a thermal lens with a sub-50mK thermal sensitivity, penetrating total darkness, smoke, and foliage while maintaining a crisp, low-latency H.264/H.265 video link

These systems are designed as a plug-and-play option, enabling advanced features like Point-to-Track and Target Temperature Alarms only when the mission profile demands it. Weighing as little as 150g, these optional units provide a high-tier ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) capability without permanently impacting the drone’s base weight or agility.
